In an interesting move, valve has made one of it's most profitable games, CS:GO completely free (ignoring the paid option that seems only to exist as compensation for the paying players). This is likely to help increase the dying player base and make more money of microtransactions, skins and loot boxes. Opening the flood gates may have some negative consequences, but time will tell.
